A Proud History of Friendliness, Integrity and Fairness
E.R. Vine & Sons, Inc. was originally founded as a Sunland Consignee by Ellis R Vine in 1932 in Ceres, California. Since Ceres was exactly in the middle of the famous San Joaquin Valley, Ellis main customer base was the agricultural community. The Great Depression was a difficult time to begin a business. His wife Lena Vine worked two and sometimes three jobs to allow his company to get a start. Customers knew Ellis by his commitment to hard work and his friendliness, integrity and fairness—traits which outlived the man that put them to work.

Sons Dick and Donald joined his company in the 1940s. Their wives Mildred and Janice worked at their sides as they built the company into a full-line distributorship. In 1967, they became the second Enco Distributors in all of California.Raising six daughters, Dick and Donald Vine decided to offer three sons-in-law Jeff LeBeouf, Rich Erickson and Mike Keys the opportunity to enter the business in 1980.Today, E.R. Vine & Sons, Inc. maintains the traits that Ellis championed, even as weve grown to one of the Central Valleys largest full service distributors of fuel, lubricants and accessories. E.R.
