Duck Creek Energy, Inc. is headquartered in Brecksville, Ohio. We are committed to finding and developing local natural gas and oil to help reduce Ohio and Americas dependence on foreign energy. Currently Duck Creek Energy produces nearly one-half million Mcf of natural gas and 15,000 barrels of oil annually. We have grown to become one of the largest and most successful natural gas production and operating companies in Northeast Ohio. Local employment, landowner support, and drawing on the skills and experience of dozens of local contractors and suppliers all help create opportunities for our local economy. In addition, each community with a producing well receives city, county and school taxes based on production.

Our History

  Duck Creek Energy, now in its 34th year, was founded in 1983 by David I. Mansbery, James Oberle and James Wilkes.  In 1988, David Mansbery, became sole owner, and he, along with his dedicated staff continues to operate wells throughout the region.  Duck Creek Energy, a privately held company, is located in Brecksville, Ohio and has successfully drilled over 150 wells throughout northeast Ohio, many of which are located in Cuyahoga County.  Duck Creek Energy has successfully drilled sensitive areas such as churches, cemeteries, golf club communities, schools and residential neighborhoods all with little fanfare; this is a safety record we are very proud of.  Combined with the guidance from a simple vision to provide value for our investors, royalty owners and landowners, we will continue to maintain excellence in the oil and gas industry.

The families who live near our existing facilities are already aware of the close attention we pay to every site to monitor all operating conditions and maintain safe and clean sites.
