Diesel Emissions Service (DES) began its operations in 2006 as the emissions division of parent company North State Truck Equipment, Inc., which has been serving the heavy duty truck market since 1978. DES was established to help California businesses meet and exceed the strict CARB and EPA emissions regulations placed on diesel trucks. Since 2006, DES has sold and/or installed over 15,000 emission control devices, and is now an industry leader in diesel emissions on the west coast, and throughout the U.S. and Canada.    DES manufactures DPF (diesel particulate filter) equipment and accessories, we sell and distribute other popular industry DPFs and accessories, and we clean, service and retrofit DPF filters. In 2014, DES began manufacturing DPF cleaning equipment under the Filtertherm® brand as an industry response to outdated cleaning technology. In 2016, DES launched its Redline Emissions Products® brand to cover the DPF equipment needs for the light, medium and heavy duty diesel markets. We offer DPFs, gaskets, clamps, weld bungs, CACs (charge air coolers), sensors, brackets, guards and custom mounting kits. We have our own AMADA stamping press with complete fabrication facility, and we have a UL certified electrical control panel shop.    DES has one of the largest replacement OEM filter inventories in North America and have begun distributing in both Canada and Australia. We have six locations on the west coast and we are growing our nationwide Redline Dealer Network for DPF Parts.

Established in 1978 as a full-service, family-owned truck repair facility and salvage yard, North State Truck Equipment Inc., has been evolving to offer experienced service, parts and overall knowledge for heavy-duty diesel trucks.  In 2007, North State Truck Equipment Inc. expanded our service to become a DPF retrofit distributor and opened Diesel Emissions Service (DES) as the emissions department of our company. Over the last eight years, DES has grown from our Redding headquarters to include locations in Sacramento, Ontario, San Leandro, Vancouver, and Portland, and offer a wide array of services to meet the needs of our customers.

On-Road Trucks   

Diesel Emissions Service keeps your On-Road new and used diesel trucks up and running. Whether it be DPF filter cleaning, maintenance and replacement or custom emissions retrofitting, our extensive knowledge and experience makes us the leading choice for retrofitting on the West Coast. New trucks need their DPF filters cleaned and properly maintained; used diesel trucks need retrofitting.  Before buying a used diesel truck, you need to be aware of the CARB & EPA regulations regarding emissions systems. Did you know that on-road pre-2007 engine diesel trucks have no factory emissions installed? DES replaces DPF filters and installs emissions systems to bring them up to CARB & EPA standards, taking the guesswork out of DPF maintenance. Here are just a few of our on-road retrofit projects.

• DPF Cleaning & Maintenance: DES uses a rigorous 8-step cleaning process to ensure your diesel particulate filter is thoroughly cleaned to its maximum level, every time. We track every cleaning for you, keeping logs of important data, before & after pictures and weights to give you a comprehensive report.
• DPF Parts & Accessories: DES offers a full line of heavy duty, medium duty and light duty DPFs, DOCs and DPF accessories through our Redline Emissions Products® brand – DPFs, DOCs, clamps, gaskets, weld bungs, CACs, sensors and more. We also carry brands like Durafit, Skyline, Filtertherm®, FSX, CDTi, ESW, Hug, Huss and Johnson Matthey at our online superstore.
• Mobile Installation: DES trained technicians have fully stocked service trucks for DPF mobile installation, typically covering the West Coast. Can’t find a location near you? We’ve got you covered.
• Emissions Retrofitting: If your truck is Pre-2007, DES can custom fit (retrofit) a compliant emissions system to your vehicle. DES is a CARB verified and EPA certified installer that has installed more emissions control devices than any of our competitors.
• Custom DPF Mounting: DES manufactures and mounts custom sized brackets, mounts, guards, step covers and offers complete customized mounting kits. Our engineering department has designed the highest quality system that’s perfect for your application.
• Diesel Truck Repair: DES offers full diesel repair services for heavy-duty diesel engines. In addition to handling your emissions repair and DPF cleaning needs, our expert diesel mechanics can fix just about any area of your truck. We also have a dyno engine testing station that is used to test full engine capacity under load conditions giving us full diagnostic capability (Redding location).
• On-Site Training: DES offers multiple types of training for General DPF knowledge, Equipment Specific education, and training for our Filtertherm® line of equipment with additional online training and certification. And we also offer Sales Training & Support to our Redline Dealers.
