The phrase "we make polymers" means that at DERYPOL we work in order to detect market needs, especially as regards polymers for water treatment, and we research and develop products to meet such needs. Our concern for the natural environment has become our main objective; marketing products to solve environmental problems using processes which respect the environment.

DERYPOL was created in 1967 in order to manufacture products for the textile sector.
En 1970 a production plant situated in Les Franqueses del Vallès (Barcelona – Spain) was set up, with a reactor and small Laboratory being the first assets with which we started our venture in the chemical industry.

With the passing of time and always with an innovating tendency, we have increased our presence in new market sectors, our range of polymers and installations in order to meet our clients' needs.

At present our company and our installations have a great capacity to adapt to the needs of markets such as water treatment, paper, Oil & Gas, cosmetics, detergents, leather hides and finishings, textiles and additives for construction, generating true, sustainable added value, this challenge being a requirement so as to achieve the best balance possible between ecological, social and economic needs.

In the last 10 years we have tripled profit indicators, sales have multiplied by 2.3, we have exceeded the figure of 1000 clients, we are exporting to over 30 countries abroad, representing almost 40% of our sales, we market exclusive technology and we continue to create new products guaranteeing our company's future.

Collaborations

The research carried out by Derypol is not restricted to the company itself, but is open to other centres of innovation fruit of collaboration with clients themselves or with joint developments with other companies. The main factors for the success of research work are collaboration and constant exchange of knowledge and experience.

The close collaboration with various areas of collaborating companies has brought about the creation of a large number of projects, of which a high percentage have result ed in a satisfied client and an increase in our range of products.

R+D

The innovation and the development of new products has always been the motor driving our company towards being one of the most pioneering in the field of flocculants and polymers.

Due to this, in 2001 the R+D department became a separate entity, with the creation of a team of doctors specialised in different areas of chemistry.

The result has been an increase in sales of around 20% in respect of the company's global sales, and in more than 31 new products which have come to form a definitive part of our offer.
