Founded in 2008, Cross Texas Transmission is a transmission service provider that constructs, owns, and operates transmission facilities to help deliver energy to homes and businesses across Texas. Cross Texas Transmission supports several regions across the Lone Star State through its operations and maintenance facilities in Austin and Amarillo. We have successfully developed hundreds of miles of 345kV transmission lines and associated substations that allow for the delivery of several thousand megawatts of electricity to load centers throughout the state. The construction and operation of this new transmission infrastructure has fueled several billion dollars of further investment in the state. To support our cost-effective transmission strategy, Cross Texas Transmission also forms regional partnerships with other utilities and co-ops, such as Garland Power & Light. These joint ventures enable the development of system-wide transmission infrastructure upgrades identified by the ERCOT regional planning process.
