CPI Pipe & Steel purchases New and Used surplus steel pipe from gas companies all across the United States. All steel pipe New & Used, Long, Shorts, Scrap, reclaimed asbestos coated pipe is shipped to our facility for processing. Our 140-acre state-of-the-art facility was built for reconditioning and sorting large volumes of steel pipe we purchase. At our facility we inspect each piece of pipe, grade it and process it for final sale. The steel pipe is processed by cleaning both outside diameter and inside diameter, beveling, straightening and welding the pipe into fabricated lengths for distribution to our customer base all over the world. At CPI we ensure that only the highest quality steel pipe leaves our yard. We keep from 10,000 to 30,000 tons of surplus steel pipe at our facility at all times.
