Countryside Energy Services is a locally owned and operated propane distribution company serving residential, commercial and agricultural customers in Steuben, Chemung, Schuyler and Yates counties in New York and the northern half of Tioga and Bradford counties in Pennsylvania.

Automatic Propane Delivery

Automatic delivery is a free service provided to all credit approved propane customers. Based upon your normal usage history, Countryside Energy will automatically schedule your delivery—with no phone calls required, no waiting and no hassle—on a keep full basis.  The preferred method of automatic delivery is a degree day based system where the company projects your daily usage based upon the local weather conditions and your individual usage and then schedules a delivery when your tank level reaches approximately 30% of capacity.  Another form of automatic delivery would be to schedule a periodic delivery once every “x” number of days based upon your typical usage.  A third method of automatic delivery is through the use of a Remote Tank Monitoring System that provides the periodic inventory of your tank via wireless communication. This method is ideal for the vacation home market, people who may travel extensively or those customers that have a highly irregular usage. When the tank volume reaches certain preset inventory levels, a warning notice is sent to our dispatch center to schedule a delivery. The use of the Remote Tank Monitoring System may require a nominal monthly fee for use of the equipment.

Will Call Propane Delivery

Under this method of delivery, you are responsible for monitoring the volume of product in your tank and calling Countryside Energy to schedule a delivery a minimum of 5 days in advance of the desired delivery date. It is recommended that the request for delivery be made when the tank level reaches approximately 30% on the tank gauge. Failure of a customer to properly schedule a delivery may result in an emergency delivery or off route delivery that will incur additional charges and may require a leak check if the propane system runs out of gas and/or may require appliance restarts.

Commercial Propane

Approved as an alternative fuel under the Clean Air Act and the National Energy Policy, propane is environmentally friendly and clean burning with lower greenhouse gas emissions and carbon dioxide emissions than most fossil fuels. Propane is non-toxic and will not contaminate soil or ground water.  Countryside Energy has many tank options available including above ground and underground tanks in a variety of sizes, depending upon usage needs and annual demand.

Countryside Energy can provide all your propane and associated equipment requirements for small to large businesses, manufacturers, contractors, developers and retailers, including applications for:

• Commercial building heat and hot water for office buildings, apartment/townhouse/condo complexes, motel/hotels and government buildings.
• Restaurants for building heat, hot water and cooking. Chefs prefer the instant response and control that propane provides versus electric options.
• Propane cylinder filling whereby Countryside’s bulk trucks will fill customer owned or Countryside supplied propane cylinders onsite for use in forklift equipment, food truck operations or other portable/temporary business operations.
• Propane pump stations can be an incremental profit center for many retailers such as garden centers, farm stores, building supply or hardware stores and service stations.
• Temporary heat applications for the building and construction trades.
• The landscaping business and golf courses for use in propane powered lawnmowers and trimmers. Typically this equipment has ~ 30% lower operating costs, lower maintenance costs, significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions and less downtime than diesel or gasoline powered equipment.
• Backup generators that provide critical power during electrical outages. Typical users include hospitals, colleges, large commercial office buildings and cell towers.
• Fleet Autogas, which is gaining popularity as an alternative fuel to meet federal, state and local emissions standards. Typically users are government fleets, school bus companies and large commercial fleets such as UPS and FedEx.

Farm/Agricultural Propane

Propane is a highly versatile fuel for use on the farm.
