An Eco-Friendly Solution
Geothermal exchange is the transfer of heat to and from the earth to provide heating, cooling and hot water for residential and commercial buildings. Unlike fluctuating outdoor temperatures, the earth is a relatively constant 52 degrees six feet below the surface. The geothermal ground source heat pump system consists of three major components: a heat pump unit in the building, the ground loop for the heat-exchange and the ductwork to deliver the air. Our highly trained technicians at Connecticut Valley Artesian Well Co Inc are capable of installing this state-of-the-art heating and cooling system.
Geothermal Systems are More Efficient
In the winter, the circulating fluid in the ground loop absorbs heat that is stored in the earth. The unit in the building compresses the heat to a higher temperature and distributes it through the ductwork. The system reverses itself in the summer to pull heat from the building and transfers it to the cooler earth.
Save Money with Geothermal Heat
Geothermal ground source heat pump systems are now obtaining 400% to 500% efficiency. For every dollar you put into it (electricity to run the pump, compressor and fan) you get back $4-5 dollars of energy.
