Our sustained track record of success has enabled us to grow into one of the premier energy companies in the United States.
VISION & VALUES
As a leader in the American energy industry, we are responsible for setting the tone. Though we have diverse backgrounds, employees at CPV all share a common vision and set of beliefs.
RESPONSIBLE ENERGY STARTS WITH US
Throughout all of our interactions with communities, policy makers, skill workers, investors and manufacturers, we pledge to conduct ourselves responsibly and to demonstrate our commitment to professionalism, safety, fiscal responsibility, regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.
ETHICS & COMPLIANCE
CPV has achieved success as a leader in the energy industry through steadfast commitment to our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and superior execution and service.
Integrity
CPV is committed to ethical conduct in all aspects of our business. Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics is based on the Company’s values and the laws that regulate our industry. The Code provides employees with guidance on how to follow CPV’s policies and procedures, all of which serve to ensure that ethical conduct, fair business practices, and respect for the law form the foundation of each and every CPV project.
Accountability
CPV expects and requires all of our employees to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as our own policies and procedures. At CPV, every employee accepts the responsibility to act ethically and legally when representing the Company by certifying each year that they agree to follow the principles outlined in our Employee Handbook and Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. All CPV employees, officers, and board members commit to ethical business practices, and this means conducting our business honestly and legally, day in and day out.
Transparency
Clear and open communication is critical to CPV’s mission. Our commercial success and reputation are based on trustworthiness with our clients, partners, and suppliers. CPV practices a strict non-retaliation policy and encourages our employees to speak up if they discover something that doesn’t appear to comply with our standards of conduct. Our culture of transparency is encouraged from the highest levels of leadership, setting the tone for an ongoing culture of compliance.
Project Development
Our Project Development team is leading the way in the development of low carbon electric generation facilities. After existing resources have been optimized, the most effective way to strengthen America's energy infrastructure is to build new efficient generation facilities when and where they are needed. Through community engagement and strategic partnerships, we have successfully developed and financed six state-of-the-art energy centers over the past six years totaling 5,000 MW, or enough to power more than 5 million homes. Our energy centers are among the most efficient and reliable in the world, capable of providing the flexible power needed to support the 21st century electric system.
Asset Management
Our Asset Management team is responsible for optimizing and managing existing resources on behalf of CPV and 3rd-parties to ensure they perform up to their maximum potential. By ensuring that existing facilities run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, we are able to take full advantage of their capabilities to produce reliable power while providing environmental and economic benefits. Our team currently manages over 8,000 MW of electric generation facilities across the United States. Having transacted an additional 10,000 MW of resources since 2001, our track record of success has made us one of the premier asset managers in the country.
