Como Oil & Propane of Florida was founded in 1946 in Northern Minnesota by Myles Hall. He opened shop with one truck, a handful of customers, and a dedication to serving the community. Myles expanded his operation to Fort Lauderdale in 1967, bringing his mid­western values to sunny South Florida. As the company started growing, Myles moved the headquarters to Palm City, the current location for Martin County Petroleum. His son, Robert Hall, was always fascinated by the work his father did and spent many Saturdays at the office as a child. He started running the company in the 1980s .The business expanded yet again in 2005 when Robert opened the Vero Beach office.

Dockside Fuel

Como Oil & Propane is South Floridas premiere Dockside Fuel Service, and  will deliver fuel to private boat owners. Whether your vessel is located at your home or in a marina, we can make your fueling experience seamless, allowing you to have more time on the water. We accept all major credit cards with no extra charges while offering you competitive rates. 

• The Cellular Unit ­ The cellular tank transmitter is typically installed in under 15 minutes. This includes a full system test to ensure that the equipment is working properly and the service is reporting tank level data to Como Oil & Propane of Florida. A cable connects the unit to a dial on your tank to read the level. The equipment is completely sealed and maintenance­free, designed for years of reliability.

• The Cell Tower ­ The information is transmitted via a secure, cellular network providing a reliable communication path to Como Oil & Propane of Florida. The cellular unit reads and records your tank level multiple times per day. If a low level is detected at any one of those readings, a priority notification is immediately sent to Como Oil & Propane of Florida. Additionally, the complete set of tank level and usage data is transmitted at regular intervals, so that we can be more responsive to your needs.

• Reports ­ Como Oil & Propane of Florida receives reports that list every tanks fill level with the date, time, and gallons delivered, thereby creating a chronological history of all your tank activity. These reports ensure timely deliveries, so you will never run out of fuel.
