Charger Shale Oil Company, LLC (“Charger”) is an oil and gas exploration and production company seeking to expand the boundaries of previously defined oil and gas shale plays. In 2016 Charger acquired approximately 48,000 net acres in the Delaware basin in Culberson County, TX.

Kristel Franklin ,CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

In June 2018, Oaktree Capital hired Ms. Franklin to lead the Charger asset as Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Franklin began her career as a drilling engineer with ExxonMobil in 2003 and has since amassed over 15 years of diversified experience in the E&P business. At ExxonMobil, Ms. Franklin began working domestic onshore projects then offshore Angola before accepting an engineering position at then-private Jones Energy in 2007. While at Jones Energy, Ms. Franklin held leadership positions of increasing authority including Sr. Vice President before joining Riverstone-backed Three Rivers Operating Company III in 2016. While at 3ROC, Ms. Franklin was responsible for the midstream assets in the Delaware Basin including gas, water, and oil gathering. The midstream segment was ultimately divested of separately from the upstream assets in what was a successful turn for the company on both fronts in early 2018. Ms. Franklin has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
