Heating and air conditioning in general and the interest in detailed technology of furnaces, heat pumps and alternative energy were the foundation for Horace and Scott Kelly, when they started the heating and air conditioning contractor and service company Carolina Heating Service, Inc. in 1981 in Greenville SC. On June 10, 2020, DLVA, Inc DBA NearU HVAC Services, a Charlotte based company, purchased the assets and liabilities of Carolina Heating Services, Inc. of Greenville and Ashish Achlerkar became president of the company.  With highly trained technicians and a fleet of over 20 vehicles, new projects are installed and thousands of heating and air conditioning systems are being serviced every year. The service area is most of the Upstate of South Carolina including Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens, Oconee, and parts of Laurens County.
