Building on her many years of energy modeling experience and as an energy code instructor, Beth Brummitt founded the firm in 1998 specifically to focus on high-performance projects. These are projects which are not just more energy-efficient but also have better comfort and higher productivity, and thereby can command a higher asset value. People, ecology, and economy are woven together in a triple braid of prosperity.

In 2002, Beth was the founding president of the San Diego Chapter of the US Green Building Council. Since then she has seen the dramatic rise in LEED and greener buildings in the San Diego region and beyond. One building, then two, then four, then four hundred. She envisions a thriving San Diego in which greener buildings have sprouted up everywhere, like flowers in a springtime meadow!

From the firm’s inception, it has expanded from Beth as the single modeling person and has become a professional modeling team with hand-picked specialists who each bring an array of skills, perspectives, and passion to help turn our client’s goals into reality.

Brummitt’s service offerings are founded in a deep-rooted concern about the deeply destructive effects of human-caused climate change.  The company’s mission, to help our clients enjoy the benefits of high performance buildings, directly evolved from Beth Brummitt’s personal mission statement to enjoy and promote sustainable living for herself and others.
