LEADERSHIP

BUD BRIGHAM, CHAIRMAN Bud Brigham has over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience. He founded Brigham Exploration Company in 1990 and served as its President, CEO and Chairman until its sale in 2011. The company accumulated 375,000 net acres in the Williston Basin and drilled 100 wells prior to sale to Statoil ASA in 2011 for $4.5 billion. Subsequently, Bud founded Brigham Resources, which built an 80,000 net acre position in the Southern Delaware Basin, completing approximately 50 wells prior to sale. In February 2017, Bud sold Brigham Resources to Diamondback Energy for $2.55 billion. He also founded Brigham Minerals which has amassed 40,000 net mineral acres across the Permian, SCOOP/STACK, DJ and Williston Basins.

KEITH LILIE, CEO

Keith Lilie has over 18 years of oil and gas industry experience. His career with Brigham Exploration Company began in 2005 and he remained with the company through the sale to Statoil ASA in 2011. During his time at Brigham and Statoil Keith held various engineering leadership roles ultimately becoming the Operations and Maintenance Manager for all US Onshore Properties. He has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

JIM MOTHERSHEAD, COO

Jim Mothershead has over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience. He worked in engineering and management positions for 17 years with Mobil and ExxonMobil and is Partner & Co-Founder of SEMBA Oil & Gas, LLC, a Permian non-op company. He was the VP of Technical Assurance and Director of International New Ventures with TNK-BP Moscow & Caracas. He has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas, a MBA from Southern Methodist University and a MS Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.

RICKY COX, EXPLORATION MANAGER

Ricky Cox has over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience. He is the former Vice President of West Texas Exploration for Brigham Resources and led a team in identifying 80,000 acres in the Delaware Basin that culminated in the sale to Diamondback for $2.55 billion. He is the former Lead Geoscientist for Texas Assets at Concho Resources. Ricky has a MS in Geosciences from Texas Tech University.

DICK SCHMIDT, DIRECTOR

Dick Schmidt has over 30 years in the oil and gas industry as an engineer, attorney and operator. He served as President of Viejo Energy I, LLC and was involved in 2016 sale of assets in the Permian to QEP for a record sales price of $60,000 per acre. Dick has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from UT and JD from UT School of Law.

JIM EDSEL, DIRECTOR

Jim Edsel has over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience. He is the Founder & President of Texas Gas Partners, a 10+ year non-op partnership with a consortium of public utility companies. Jim has founded and sold two other successful E&P operating companies. He is Partner & Co-Founder of SEMBA Oil & Gas, a Permian non-op company. He has a Petroleum Land Management degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

VINCE BRIGHAM, DIRECTOR

Vincent has over 25 years of oil and gas industry experience.  He has overseen the acquisition of more than 300,000 acres of leases, 30,000 net acres of mineral acquisitions and over 2,500 square miles of 3D Seismic.  He is the President of Bridgepoint Mineral Acquisition Fund, Brigham Land, LLC and Brigham Company, LLC.
