Brenham LP Gas is a family owned and operated propane distributor servicing Washington and surrounding counties.  Purchased as Brenham Butane Company in 1945 by W.L. Warmke, the company, with two employees and a single delivery truck, stressed customer satisfaction in all facets of business. In 1973, the company switched to propane. At the time, the price per gallon was about .20 cents and more cost effective for customers. A corporation was formed in 1976 as the name changed to Brenham LP Gas, Inc. With business expanding to nearby counties, Brenham LP employed four, now running double the operations with two delivery trucks.  Sixty years later, Brenham LP has 10 employees operating five delivery trucks and a service department. It has expanded distribution to all or part of Washington, Austin, Waller, Burleson, Lee, Fayette and Grimes counties. Brenham LP continuously looks for ways to improve their service and operations keeping safety at top of mind.  Brenham LP is an active member with the Texas Propane Gas Association (TPGA) and the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA). Brenham LP is also an active member of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

Residential Propane Services

We provide propane delivery to residential customers in Washington and surrounding counties. From design and installation to delivery, Brenham LP is committed to exceeding customer expectations with our “keep full” route delivery program insuring constant, uninterrupted propane gas.

Commercial Propane Services

We provide propane delivery to many commercial customers with ever changing demands and needs. We also offer a forklift cylinder route program to those needing a cylinder exchange, and are able to install bulk tank installations for those applications needed.

Cylinder Services or Motor Fuel

For those in need of cylinder service or refill, Brenham LP can fill all legal propane cylinders. For those in need of motor fuel, we are able to fill those vehicles out back at our fueling station. Any cylinders that are out of date or in need of repair, we are licensed to recertify and repair those that are able to be.

Propane System Installations

Installation truck. Brenham LP installs both above and under ground tanks. We are licensed to install any interior piping needed in homes and commercial buildings, and also the exterior house line between the tank and the home or building.

Brenham LP Gas maintains a full service department with over 150 years combined experience in the propane industry. Our service department is reliable and always works within the safe standards and regulations set forth by the Texas Railroad Commission.

Propane Safety and Education

Propane is a clean burning fuel which emits less than half the amount of carbon dioxide as electricity, is more efficient and burns hotter. Propane is also very economical in comparison. Propane has many built-in safety properties and is governed by stringent safety regulations.  Brenham LP Gas is committed to provide propane and propane services at the highest safety standards set forth by the propane industry and The Texas Railroad Commission. All employees attend both continuing education classes taught by the Texas Railroad Commission and quarterly safety meetings provided by the company. Our employees are all licensed with over 150 years combined experience working in the propane industry.  Brenham LP Gas provides safety information to all new customers and frequently sends our safety information to all current customers and regularly hosts safety seminars with the Texas Railroad Commission for local fire departments to help in dealing with the properties of propane.
