Boo Energi was formed on Saturday, May 30, 1920, when a number of people met at Sågtorp's school to discuss the common interest in acquiring and using electricity. Boo Elektriska Distribution Association was formed and 5 km of power lines were purchased.
Boo Energi ekonomisk förening maintains and develops the electricity grid in Saltsjö-Boo and parts of the municipalities of Värmdö and Vaxholm. Our network area has an area of ​​36 km2 and is owned by our customers and members.
We are one of the electricity network companies that have the lowest network charges in Sweden and we work every day to have a safe electricity network with as few interruptions as possible. In recent years, we have had a delivery reliability of 99.99% to our customers, despite storms such as Alfrida and Gudrun's and that on several occasions we have had to pull out because our cables are damaged during road works.
