The Los Angeles Biodiesel Co-Op now uses HPR diesel which is an extremely low carbon emission fuel and unlike other Diesel Fuel alternatives our HPR diesel is locally sourced:The Co-op has  served over 200 members, and since January 2006, provided over 100,000 gallons of biodiesel to coop members. Our primary goal is providing a service to light-duty diesel vehicle owners  in the greater Los Angeles area, who want to use the cleanest, greenest alternative additive fuel technology on the road today. We stress a“green” reduce-repair-reuse-recycle philosophy for VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BEFORE 2009  (see our FAQ page).  Founded in October 2005, incorporated in March 2006, the Co-op’s mission is to promote sustainable biodiesel through education, outreach, and advocacy while providing members with access to quality biodiesel fuel. B99 biodiesel is purchased in bulk through subscription by the members. The fuel is kept in portable storage facilities,based in Torrance and east side Los Angeles.  The trailers can also be used as mobile education facilities to be taken to Earth Day events, local schools, farmers markets and similar venues. In this way we are able to educate the public and to demonstrate why the sustainably produced biodiesel fuel is needed.  We strive to provide our members with highest quality, sustainable B99 at the most affordable price. This includes all taxes and storage expenses.(See the most current price posted on the Welcome page.)  We shop around for the highest quality, lowest-priced, locally-produced fuel available.

Fueling with Diesel HPR The Los Angeles BioDiesel HPR is a fuel made mostly of animal fats and a small part biodiesel. Diesel HPR meets the ASTM D975 diesel specification for use in all diesel engines, not just old Mercedes.
