Founded in 1994, Beowulf Energy is a private, independent infrastructure holding company that develops, builds, owns, and operates power generation and industrial infrastructure facilities worldwide. Today, Beowulf owns and manages over 2.3 GW of power generation capacity worldwide. Headquartered in New York, we conduct our business from offices in Maryland, Colorado, Washington DC and Germany. Beowulf Energy is led by its founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, Paul B. Prager.
Our Approach
Leveraging our in-house engineering, operating, development and investment teams, Beowulf Energy actively seeks opportunities to develop and/or acquire controlling interests in substantial, high-quality, energy-related infrastructure assets and businesses. We target attractive risk adjusted returns through balanced investments across a broad range of assets and at various stages of the asset life cycle, including (i) assets operating under long-term contracted offtake and feedstock agreements, (ii) assets operating on a merchant basis taking commodity price risk, and (iii) assets nearing end-of-life that require repowering or repositioning. We focus on identifying and executing expansion opportunities for our existing portfolio as well as redevelopment projects that optimize existing infrastructure and resources to deliver modern facilities that support the transitioning energy landscape. Beowulf Energy typically retains a long-term ownership interest in its development projects.
