Bay Diesel Corporation was established in 1982 to service diesel engines on tugs, dredges, fishing vessels, and similar applications. Today Bay Diesel & Generator is a qualified sales, service, and parts provider for most major brands of diesel engines and electrical generators.  Our Worldwide Sea Services Division overhauls and repairs diesel main propulsion engines aboard ocean-going vessels all over the world. We are the North American distributor and service agent for Cedervall shaft seals. We provide planned and corrective maintenance for the emergency power systems of some of the largest hospitals, data centers, and communications facilities in Virginia. We are the exclusive distributor for Generac Power Systems in central and southeastern Virginia and southern West Virginia. Our sales engineers are experienced graduate engineers who can respond to specifications and requirements with technically solid solutions, and then coordinate with the factory to ensure that the solution ordered is the solution delivered.  We offer competitive rates, quality service, and quality parts with skilled, factory-trained technicians, and 24 hour service. We provide planned maintenance for standby and primary power generation equipment throughout the mid-Atlantic and beyond, and have the capability to design and build diesel or natural gas power plants. Currently, we have four locations – our corporate headquarters in Chesapeake, and our sales and service centers in Richmond, Roanoke, and West Virginia. Power Generation

Bay Diesel & Generator is the authorized sales and service dealer for Generac Power Systems to the industrial, commercial, and governmental/institutional markets in central and southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. The Generac product line features fully integrated standby power generation systems for commercial, industrial and residential use. The line includes, in addition to the generator sets themselves, automatic transfer switches, controls, fuel tanks, enclosures and remote monitoring software. Generac provides Bay Diesel & Generator with full factory support for technical training, warranty programs, parts, and service. Our Generac Division specializes in working with electrical contractors and engineering consultants on bid-spec opportunities for units above 200 kW.
