Ballard Oil Company is a petroleum retailer located on the Lake Washington Ship Canal just east of the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. We have operated here since 1937.  Ballard Oil Company is a woman owned small family business, now managed by the third generation. We focus on customer service and are proud supporters of the Seattle Maritime Industry.  The main focus of our business is servicing the Pacific Northwest and Alaska fishing fleets with diesel fuel, lubricants, hydraulic oils, filters and many other related supplies. We also have a full service heating oil delivery department covering the greater Seattle area.  Ballard Oil Company is a federally regulated marine fueling facility. Our facility has strict security guidelines mandated by the federal government and enforced by the United States Coast Guard. The Marine Security Directives are posted and state the current MARSEC level directed by the Department of Homeland Security. The MARSEC level determines the security procedures related to vessel stores and personnel screening and admittance to the facility. All commercial vessels are encouraged to give 24 hours advance notice prior to fueling. Both the United States Coast Guard and the Washington State Department of Ecology require certain fueling procedures for commercial vessels.

Automatic Refill Service

Ballard Oil Company will fill your tank at intervals based upon the industry standard degree-day system. To qualify, tank usable capacity must be a minimum of 275 gallons. A delivery is normally scheduled when your tank is approximately 1/3 full. Ballard Oil Company will repair your furnace with no labor charge for conditions directly related to running out of oil caused by Ballard Oil Companys negligence while you are on automatic refill service. This applies only to customers whose accounts are in good standing, and does not cover repairs to the tank or lines connecting to the furnace.  You must notify Ballard Oil Company in writing if you wish to change or terminate automatic service. You will be responsible for all deliveries unless we are notified.  Special discounts are normally given for prompt pay making automatic service the most cost effective and dependable service available.
