Al Park Petroleum has been doing business since 1964. For 50 years, Al Park has provided lubricants and fuels to the Mines of Northern Nevada. A Nevada Corporation, Al Park Petroleum was established by Park Blair and Boomer Simpkins in 1964, and is the only long term locally owned and operated fuels and lubricants distributor in Elko. Since then, Al Park has been a primary supplier of fuels and lubricants to the mining industry in Northern and Central Nevada, and has "grown up" with the mining industry. In addition, Al Parks contributions to the local economy and community are significant.
Al Park employs over 30 local people and donates to causes and organizations such as Boy and Girl Scouts, the Volunteer Fire Department, schools and colleges, public improvements, the Chamber of Commerce, the Nevada Mining Association, and the Elko Mine Expo. Donations of fuels are given to civic organizations including Snow Bowl, the Elko County Fair, and others. Often referred to as the "rolling pipeline", Al Park has some 20 transport delivery trucks and numerous tankwagons and smaller delivery vehicles to effectively and efficiently service their wide ranging customer base. The company is headquartered in Elko, with satellite operations in Battle Mountain, Eureka and Salt Lake City. Al Park is a multi source supplier of fuels.
