Air Control Techniques, P.C. has provided integrated testing and engineering services to industrial clients since 1993. We are located in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina, a major center for air pollution emission measurement, monitoring, and control equipment development. We team with a number of highly technical firms that specialize in areas such as laboratory services and instrument development.

All Air Control Techniques, P.C. personnel are highly experienced and are thoroughly knowledgeable of air pollution control systems and air emission testing. Air Control Techniques, P.C. has a comprehensive health and safety program that is in full compliance with all OSHA and MSHA requirements. We are a MSHA registered company. 

Air Control Techniques, P.C. personnel have between 15 and 40 years of air emission testing and industrial air pollution control equipment expertise.

This unique combination is essential to solve the needs of our clients due to the interrelated nature of these two disciplines.

Air Control Techniques, P.C. has developed an ambient PM4 crystalline silica monitoring method as an extension of U.S. EPA’s ambient PM2.5 particulate matter monitoring method. With the sponsorship of the California Construction and Industrial Minerals Association and the National Stone Sand & Gravel Association, Air Control Techniques, P.C. used the new crystalline silica monitors to develop PM4 crystalline silica emission factors for crushers, screens, and conveyor transfer points. We have also used the monitors in upwind-downwind sampling programs.

The data compiled using the PM4 crystalline silica monitors are helping mining sources in California demonstrate compliance with the chronic exposure reference limit adopted in 2005 by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazards Assessment (OEHHA).
