Incorporated in Colorado in 1997, ADA-ES, Inc. develops, offers, and implements proprietary environmental technologies and provides equipment and specialty chemicals that enable coal-fueled power plants to meet emissions regulations by enhancing existing air pollution control equipment, maximizing capacity and improving operating efficiencies.

ADA-ES, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Emissions Solutions, Inc a holding entity for a family of companies that provide emissions solutions to customers in the power generation and other industries.  Our sister companies include: BCSI, LLC. and Clean Coal Solutions, LLC.

Our History: Over 20 Years of Proven Technology and Service

ADA-ES, Inc. was founded in 1996 to apply the knowledge gained from previous research and development towards developing commercially viable emission control solutions to the coal-fired industry. Through our proven fleet of emissions control technologies and one of the most highly recognized team of industry experts, ADA has become the most recommended and trusted name in the air emissions control industry.

Throughout our history, ADA-ES has worked with the Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory (DOE/NETL), industry experts and various utilities to commercialize viable, cost-effective solutions to improve coal fired power plants, cement kiln and industrial boiler emissions performance. ADA is the forefront in innovative technology breakthroughs, and continues to develop new commercial technologies for emission capture. As the industry faces new emissions control regulations, ADA will be there to provide the solution.

As coal-fired facilities are faced with the challenges of meeting more stringent emissions regulations, they often look for the most economical and trust-worthy solutions. As a full-service emissions compliance provider, ADA’s primary focus is providing the coal-fired industry with efficient, reliable, and cost effective control technologies for capturing mercury, acid gases and other air toxics from the flue gas. Our low capital solutions improve the performance of the existing pollution control equipment, and enabled the utilities to continue to operate without large capital expenditures for new equipment.

Our in-house Technology Development Group works closely with utilities, government agencies, and industry trade groups to research and develop new technologies that improve emissions capture, optimize sorbent injection technologies, and lower the cost of emissions compliance. Our technologies are tested in full-scale demonstrations in actual operating condition. • ADA holds 24 US patents issued with additional US and International patents pending
• 2001 J. Deane Sensenbaugh Award recipient from the Air & Waste Management Association for Outstanding Achievement in the field of air pollution control for our flue gas conditioning chemicals.
• ADA-ES was part of a team that won the 2003 R&D Magazine’s R&D 100 Award for creating one of the most significant new technological developments of the year. This was based on our development of the activated carbon injection system for mercury control
• 2011 J. Deane Sensenbaugh Award recipient from the Air & Waste Management Association
• ADA was awarded the 2012 Frank A. Chambers Excellence in Air Pollution Control Award

The ADA Way

ADA has extensive experience in combustion and air pollution control technologies with a coal pile to stack perspective. As part of our services, ADA uses proven proprietary software to provideregular performance dash boards and reports that highlight process and equipment performance trends, enabling clients to be proactive in increasing equipment reliability and reducing costs of operating their MATS compliance systems, including reducing use of sorbents and other consumables.
