U.S. EIA Foresees Record Oil Output from Kazakhstan in 2025

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Kazakhstan is expected to produce record amounts of oil in 2025, according to the most recent assessment released by the U.S. Energy Information and Administration (EIA).

For the past few months, Kashagan and Tengiz, the nation's two biggest oil fields, have been undergoing both planned and unforeseen maintenance. In the first month of this year, the nation's crude oil supply increased by 100,000 barrels per day (b/d). The Tengiz expansion project's initial oil production also helped to boost output that month.

The Kazakh Energy Ministry estimates that by 2025, Tengiz production will have increased by at least a quarter. It should be mentioned that the field's nameplate crude capacity is anticipated to be significantly increased by the $50 billion Future Growth Project (FGP). According to the IEA, Tengiz's anticipated output, along with consistent output from other Kazakh fields, will increase the country's oil production to over 2 million barrels per day by 2025.

According to the IEA, Kazakhstan is looking into measures to lessen its reliance on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) at the same time as it works to increase oil production. An alternate route to the Mediterranean Sea is provided by the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.
