Ukraine Launched Fresh Drone Attacks on Russian Oil Refineries

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): A Russian refinery in the southern Volgograd region was set on fire by a drone attack carried out by Ukraine during the night. Authorities in the area said that the fire was completely extinguished.

The region's governor, Andrei Bocharov, asserted that Russian air forces had thwarted an eight-drone strike. Debris from one of the drones caused a fire on the grounds of an oil refinery, which was subsequently totally put out. He stated the incident harmed one refinery worker.

Ukraine has been attacking Russian refineries and other key locations with drones on a regular basis. In a different instance, four drones were allegedly destroyed by Russian forces close to a refinery in Yaroslavl, which is located in the northeast of Moscow, the country's capital.

A Lukoil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region, east of Moscow, was set on fire by Ukrainian drones earlier this week. Refinery sources asserted that output was not stopped and that the refinery was unaffected. At a Sibur plant, a fire was started by what was believed to be a drone strike. In addition, a drone strike last week forced the suspension of operations at a refinery in Ryazan, southeast of Moscow. Russia's refineries have been processing more crude oil lately.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that it shot down up to 49 drones over the nation during the course of the night.
