SEATTLE (Oil Monster): A heads of agreement (HoA) for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Delfin Midstream's proposed project off the coast of Louisiana has been signed by Germany-based Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE) and the United States-based company.
The agreement is for the free-on-board (FOB) supply of 1.5 million tonnes of LNG annually (mtpa) for a minimum of 15 years. As part of the project, floating LNG (FLNG) vessels will be placed about 40 miles offshore Louisiana to supply the natural gas. It is anticipated that deliveries will start as soon as the FLNGs are built and put into service.

Earlier this month, the plant was granted an extension of its LNG export authorization. Up to three FLNG vessels are anticipated for the project, according to the present plan.
The deal with Delfin will enable SEFE to further diversify its LNG portfolio, according to Frederic Barnaud, Chief Commercial Officer.
Delfin's CEO, Dudley Poston, expressed his satisfaction with the arrangement with SEFE in the meantime. It will support Delfin's ongoing efforts to establish itself as a top supplier of affordable, dependable energy. He continued by saying that the organization is eager to move forward with its vital energy infrastructure project for the good of its partners and stakeholders.
