SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) data suggests that the Russian exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Europe so far this year have remained more or less steady when compared with the previous year. Meantime, the imports of piped Russian natural gas registered decline.
The sales of Russian LNG to Europe were little changed from around 13.3 million tons recorded during the previous year. The top buyers were Belgium, Spain and France, data showed.

According to LSEG data, Belgium emerged as the top importer, as of 31st October, 2023. The country imported 3.79 million tons of LNG from Yamal LNG- the largest LNG plant in Russia. The imports by Spain and France totalled 3.64 million tons and 3.18 million tons respectively.
The Yamal LNG plant’s exports dipped by 11.2% year-on-year during the year-to-date period this year to 14.56 million tons. Out of this, 11.54 million tons were sent to Europe, while 2.44 million tons were exported to Asian region. The LNG shipments from Vysotsk plant totalled around 600,000 tons, while the exports from Gazprom's Portovaya plant stood at around 860,000 tons.
The total Russian LNG exports between January and October this year amounted to approximately 24 million tons.
