The discovery of the Siedlemin field close to Jarocin highlights the Province of Poznan's dominant position on Poland's energy map, according to Wieslaw Prugar, Member of the ORLEN Management Board, Upstream. In keeping with its pledges, this will assist the corporation in optimizing gas output throughout the nation. He went on to say that local communities will see real financial benefits from the latest discovery.

ORLEN produced 7.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2023, which accounted for almost 42% of the nation's entire consumption. The Province of Poznan alone generated around 1.7 billion cubic meters of this.

By 2035, ORLEN Group hopes to increase Poland's natural gas output to 4 billion cubic meters.
