Stephens Natural Resources, LLC (“SNR”) the parent company of Stephens Production Company, Continental Properties, LLC ( “Stephens Production Company” or “SPC”), and Calypso Exploration, LLC (“Calypso Exploration”) traces its roots back to 1953 when Witt Stephens, Sr. merged Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Company with Fort Smith Gas Corporation to provide natural gas service to parts of Arkansas and Oklahoma. Since then, Stephens Production Company has expanded its exploration and production activities throughout the Arkoma basin and into other plays including the Anadarko, Bakken, Lower Cotton Valley Bossier, Mississippian Stack, and both shelf and deep-water Gulf of Mexico, among others.
