Wind power is the most climate-friendly form of energy that in total leaves the least environmental footprint. We contribute to the electrification of industry, households and the transport sector, and to a society with low emissions.
Energy efficiency is the most cost-effective way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. But if the climate goals in the Paris Agreement are to be achieved, the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says that significant amounts of new renewable energy must also be produced. Wind power is ranked as the technology solution that provides the best climate cut effect and the least environmental footprint of all the renewable and fossil ways of making electricity. This is according to both the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).
Norsk Vind was founded in 1996, and since then we have worked continuously with the design, development, construction and operation of wind farms in Norway and abroad. It has given results! In Southwest Norway alone, our projects will cover the electricity consumption of 100,000 households when they are completed.
