M. M. Satterfield Oil Co., Inc. was founded by M. M. “Bush” Satterfield Sr. in 1944. He started the company as a Lion Oil Co. consignee before purchasing Lion Oil’s service station assets in Faulkner County during the 1960’s. M. M. “Twig” Satterfield Jr. joined his father in 1973. Bush and Twig decided in the late 1970’s to become an independent petroleum jobber. The next 35 years saw the development of our owned and operated independent convenience stores as well as growth in our wholesale fuel and lube customer base from the local market to the entire state. M. M. “Branch” Satterfield III now serves as President as we enter our 70th year.

Satterfield Aviation Fuels.

 Satterfield Aviation Fuels, Inc. was founded by M. M. “Twig” Satterfield Jr. in 1979. The company started as a Phillips 66 Aviation Marketer. Today, in addition to our general aviation roots, the company supplies agricultural aviation, corporate flight departments, charter services, and mid-size airlines. The company now markets Jet-A and 100LL Avgas in Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. In addition to aviation fuel the company also carries a full line of aviation specific lube oils.
