Cal Wind Resources Inc2659 Townsgate Road #122, Westlake Village, California, United States
Since Feb, 2021
Founded in 1984, CalWind is a pioneer in wind power plant development and renewable energy generation. CalWind’s operations encompass about 30 MW of generation capacity, 300 generators and 4,400 acres of land in the Tehachapi Mountains of California. Since its inception, CalWind has been committed to provide clean renewable wind energy to ratepayers throughout the state. This electricity is environmentally preferable to most other types of electricity generation because it does not produce any carbon dioxide (CO2) (a major greenhouse gas) nor does it produce any nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SOx), or particulates, the major contributors to smog and ozone depletion. In addition to its environmental benefits, the renewable energy generated by CalWind’s wind power plants is impervious to fuel price hikes because its fuel is the wind. As such it is preferable to most other types of electricity generation because it helps insulate the state’s power system and its ratepayers from inflation and spikes in fuel costs. CalWind is committed to ensuring that California achieves its goals of greenhouse gas emissions reductions and 100% clean energy by 2045.
