- OMD Centralizers are designed to meet the challenges of today’s torturous wells that require more rigorous centralization while minimizing drag and maximizing flow area.
- Our centralizers are produced by the state-of-the-art hydroforming process, creating even greater flow area while maintaining the proven and patented blade design. The unique split blade design adds resistance against deformation in tough environments.
- OMD centralizers are designed to be free floating between casing collars or stop collars, we currently stock the most common sizes of centralizers for OCTG and hole sizes. Custom outside diameters can be designed and built within 7 days with altered shapes (3, 4 and 5 blades and blade angle). See our inventory page for availability.
- Industry demands for centralization in extended reach wells and high dogleg severity profiles is what led to the OMD centralizer design. The rounded blade ends and rounded sides reduce drag, mechanical sticking tendencies and hanging up on ledges and windows. The spiral blade geometry ensures stand-off from the open hole regardless of the orientation. Longer axial length are available for greater side-load force distribution and the weld-free blade design yields consistent uniformity and reliable dimensions every time.
- Hydroforming makes it possible to manufacture hollow components requiring complex external shapes with favorable strength properties yet producing a lightweight product that is easier for handling on the rig floor and pipe yard.
