About Company

Sendero Midstream was formed in March 2014 by members of its management team and Energy Capital Partners (“ECP”), which together with affiliated funds, is a private equity firm with $19 billion of funds under management for investments in North America energy infrastructure. With this capital support, Sendero is focused on the Permian basin and continues to expand business around its natural gas gathering and processing complex in Eddy County, New Mexico.  As part of its expansion efforts, Sendero is building additional gathering and compression infrastructure and has recently received FERC approval to build a residue gas pipeline from the tailgate of its processing complex in New Mexico to Texas, providing customers downstream access to WAHA markets.  Sendero management has the industry knowledge and expertise to successfully build and operate midstream assets. Developed through many years of experience working within midstream and upstream segments of major energy companies, the team exhibits a full range of capabilities, including engineering, construction, operations, commercial and project management.

Our Approach

Sendero is focused predominantly on traditional, fee-based midstream assets in its objective of developing into a business of substantial scale with geographic, commodity, and customer diversity. Sendero management is focused on providing best-in-class services though the creation of long-term partnerships with producers and customers. Management is extremely cognizant of how important a functional partnership between a developer and midstream operator is to the optimal operation of assets and infrastructure systems. Sendero management has ample experience and expertise optimally customize assets and facilities, as well as contracts and deal structures, in order to meet a producer’s short-term and long-term production development and growth requirements.

Sendero Carlsbad Gathering System, Processing Plant, and NGL Pipeline

The Sendero Carlsbad Gathering and Processing System began operations in the fourth quarter of 2017 and is serving producers in the Northern Delaware Basin in Eddy County, New Mexico.  The current services provided by Sendero include low pressure gas gathering, field compression, gas dehydration, and delivery of high pressure gas to the Sendero Carlsbad Gas Processing Plant.  The Carlsbad system includes approximately 100 miles of gas pipelines ranging in diameter from 8” to 20”, over 50,000 HP of field compression and a 350 MMcf/d gas processing complex.   The Sendero Team has extensive experience constructing and operating natural gas processing plants.  In January 2017, Sendero commenced construction of the Carlsbad system near Carlsbad, New Mexico in the heart of the Northern Delaware Basin.  The Sendero Carlsbad Processing Plant is a 130 million cubic feet per day “MMcf/d” cryogenic gas processing plant that provides highly efficient processing of liquids-rich, natural gas production from the Wolfcamp, Bone Springs, and numerous other stacked shale pay zones in the basin.  The plant began operations in the fourth quarter of 2017.  In September 2019, Sendero completed construction of a 220 MMcf/d plant at the Carlsbad location bringing the total gas processing capacity to 350 MMcf/d.  .  Both plants are designed to provide for ultra-high recovery of NGL’s from customers’ rich natural gas production along with the flexibility to reject desired quantities of ethane.  During ethane rejection, both plants can maintain very high recoveries of Propane and heavier NGL’s.   Downstream flow assurance is important to Sendero and its customers.   Sendero currently has two gas residue outlets and will have a third outlet upon completion of Sendero’s Gateway Pipeline targeted for 1Q 2020 in-service.    Sendero also has two natural gas liquid (“NGL”) outlets with the ability to easily connect to two additional nearby NGL pipelines.  Sendero is in discussions with numerous producers in the Customer Service Area shown on the map that will support additional capital investment to expand and extend the gathering system and processing capacity and to construct facilities for related services.
