Greenlane Biogas 110 - 3605 Gilmore Way, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
Since Jan, 2020
Greenlane is a pioneer in the rapidly emerging renewable natural gas (RNG) market. As a leading global provider of biogas upgrading systems, we help waste producers, gas utilities, and project developers do more with biogas, helping them turn a low-value product into a high-value low-carbon renewable resource. Greenlane’s biogas upgrading systems are marketed and sold under our Greenlane Biogas™ brand. Our full-system solutions remove impurities and separate carbon dioxide from biomethane in raw biogas to create clean RNG for pipeline injection, liquefaction, or direct use as a vehicle fuel.
Understand that biogas sources and pipeline specifications are not created equal
Every biogas upgrading project requires its own unique solution. Biogas produced from landfills is different from that produced at, wastewater treatment plants, which is different again from that produced on farms or from food waste. Pipeline-injection and vehicle specifications also vary across different geographies. Technology and system selection depends on biogas flowrates, levels and composition of impurities in the biogas and the pipeline or vehicle specifications.
WHY GREENLANE?
Converting biogas to high purity biomethane isn’t quite as simple as one solution fits all. Every biogas upgrading project requires its own unique solution, depending on the source/feedstock of the raw biogas and its composition and levels of impurities; the size of the project (in terms of biogas flow rates); and the end use for the RNG (namely, the vehicle or pipeline-specification requirements). Greenlane works with customers to identify the right solution.
Full-system solutions, featuring three leading upgrading technologies
Greenlane is the only biogas upgrading company to offer multiple core technologies: water wash, pressure swing adsorption (PSA), and membrane separation. Our upgrader systems are marketed and sold under the Greenlane Biogas™ brand. Our goal is to design and deliver solutions that provide the best economics to the customer on every project. This means lowest upfront investment, lowest operating cost, and highest biomethane recovery (which translates into maximum RNG offtake revenue).
More than just equipment suppliers, we’re project development partners
We’ve built a team with deep technology and implementation expertise who collaborate with our customers to evaluate project objectives and identify solutions that work, from the right choice of technology for the project, to advising on and enlisting partners to assist with the spectrum of project development activities from financing and siting, through permitting, and RNG off-take. Greenlane Biogas™ is a wholly owned subsidiary of TSX Venture Exchange listed Greenlane Renewables Inc. (TSX-V: GRN) and is registered to the internationally recognized quality, health and safety, and environmental standards ISO 9001:2008, ISO 18001, and ISO 14001.
Trust 30-years’ experience and more than 100 systems delivered in 18 countries
We’re entrepreneurial by nature and problem-solvers to our core. We’re also grounded by more than 30 years’ industry experience helping our customers recover value from waste. We’ve been working on biogas upgrading since before it was considered a market. We understood the potential of RNG early and as a result are well positioned to help accelerate the rapidly growing biomethane market. Today, we are ranked number one in installed capacity, having delivered more than 100+ biogas upgrading installations in 18 countries and counting. We’ve learned a lot along the way. First to market in 11 of the 18 countries where our systems operate, we’re also proud to have supplied the systems for the largest RNG production facilities in North America and Europe.
Upgrade to a renewable fuel future today
The transition to a low-carbon global economy has started and can’t be ignored. Consumer demand and public policy are driving decarbonization efforts in transportation and natural gas distribution, two of the largest sectors of the global energy system. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions and our reliance on fossil fuels, we need high volumes of low-carbon alternative fuels. Including RNG. If you are developing or engineering a biogas project and see the need and the opportunity to upgrade to a revenue-generating, emissions-reducing renewable fuel, let’s start a conversation.
