Sage Oil Vac360 N. Lakeside Drive , Amarillo, Texas, United States
Since Jan, 2020
- Gary initially created the first oil vac system so he could change the oil in his irrigation engine without spilling oil on himself or the ground. After putting his new invention to use, a lightbulb went off — this new lube exchange system was not only cleaner, it was faster! Throughout the rest of the 1990s, Gary began to manufacture more oil vac systems for other farmers in the Midwest. Word continued to spread and the demand continue to rise.
- The oil vac system had made its way into a number of industries including oil and gas field service, heavy equipment fleet operators, generator maintenance, rental fleet companies and more. By 2001 Gary, knew it was time to take the plunge and open up shop full-time. He then opened the Sage Oil Vac headquarters in Amarillo, Texas, and began to manufacture mobile lube equipment.
- With a new partnership established to build custom systems for the Army Reserves, Sage Oil Vac doubles in size. To accommodate the rapid growth, the company built an additional 24,000-square-foot facility
- Sage Oil Vac developed the wind GOEX system in 2007 and forever changed the way that oil is changed in the wind turbine industry. This unique invention created a new niche market for Sage. In the years that followed, Sage gained an international distributor in Australia and an international dealer in the European wind market.
- In 2012, Sage Oil Vac was awarded the Top Small Business of the Year Award by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce and the Presidential “E” Award for growth in exports.
- Gary Sage retires; Gary’s son, Aaron Sage takes over as CEO.
Why Use Sage Oil Vac?ax
- Slower pump methods are a thing of the past — a Sage system can vacuum fill products at up to 20 gpm. Vacuum hot motor oil from equipment at up to 6-8 gpm.
- Our enclosed, no-pump system protects the operator and the environment as tanks are not vented to the atmosphere.
- Clean, sealed tanks means less contaminates are introduced into fresh fluids (and less spillage on the job).
- No pumps means fewer maintenance problems for a lower cost of ownership.
- Why buy equipment that’s just “good enough” when Sage Oil Vac can customize lube systems to meet your operation’s needs? Change with Sage to increase productivity at every jobsite.
LUBE TRUCKS AND BODIES
A mobile lube equipment truck and body is the perfect solution to your fluid exchange needs. Just like with our lube trucks, an attachable lube body can be built specifically for the truck type you already have (must be a truck weighted in the 5, 7 or 8 class). Each chassis can be customized with multiple tank configurations — tank sizes range from 30-600 gallons with an optional fuel storage of 500-2,000 gallons. Our lube truck and bodies utilize the Sage Oil Vac exclusive vacuum and pressure systems; most tanks and are built to last 10-plus years on the job. Sage Oil Vac offers a number of power options to meet customer needs including engine power take-off solutions as well as standalone compressor or generator configurations to reduce chassis idle time and reduce overall fuel consumption.
WIND GENERATOR SOLUTIONS
Wind power is a renewable and clean source of energy — it’s the future of electricity! Therefore, it goes without saying that wind turbine maintenance is essential to keeping the wind industry on track. Sage Oil Vac’s Wind Turbine Generator Solutions systems were designed to provide turbine service providers with a safer way to manage oil, antifreeze changes and more.
FUEL AND LUBE TRAILERS
Sage Oil Vac fuel and lube trailers are a solid investment for frequent on-site or in-field oil changes. By eliminating the need to transport large equipment to the shop for simple lube maintenance, your operation can save time and increase productivity. At a much lower investment than a dedicated lube service truck, with the option to transfer between fleet vehicles. Sage Oil Vac offers a large range of fuel and lube trailers, whether it’s a model with two 80-gallon tanks or a tri-axle 21,000 GVWR trailer with oil capacities of over 1,000 gallons, we can find the right fit for your needs.
