About Company

The MegaTrak® Automated Fuel System Hardware is designed with direct, single-hose, pay at the pump architecture, like retail. Competitors console driven systems lose all hose accountability when communications and/or the console fails. MegaTrak® allows you to move to the next hose or exchange the fuel control unit (MCU) with another. Spare units are also available.

Fleet Services

MegaTrak offers 24/7 unmanned fueling.  Whether the fleet is large or small, the MegaTrak® Automated Fuel Accounting System is capable of serving your fleet fueling needs. MegaTrak® delivers speed and reliability. MegaTrak®, offers the ability to track fuel consumption, identify vehicles that may need repair and do the proper billing by departments. As with the truck mounted MCUs, pump and pedestal mounted units are built with the same fault tolerance and spare unit design that allows virtually 100% uptime.

24/7 personalized messages give fleet managers complete control over both vehicles and drivers. Messages are delivered directly to the pump via the MCU to alert drivers/fuelers to maintenance that is due (99 service messages are built-in to the MT Pro software). Any type of message can be customized along with other management directives. School bus drivers can even be reminded to renew their licenses to remain eligible.

Alternative Fuel Usage

MegaTrak® monitors fuel out of the bulk tank into the truck, out of the truck into the ground, and out of the ground into the vehicle or piece of equipment via the nozzle; thereby, accounting for every drop of fuel.

Propane, CNG, LNG, ethanol and all other alternative fuels can be accurately monitored with the MegaTrak® System. All applications of the MCU keep end users operational with little or no down time. If the MCU should fail, move to the next hose, use the spare MCU or exchange a less used MCU for one that is highly used, and be back in business in a matter of minutes.

Unauthorised Fueling

Having a fleet of vehicles is a major cost of doing business for any company, and MegaTrak® gives fleet managers control over both vehicles and drivers.  MegaTrak® can make unauthorized fueling a thing of the past! With MegaTrak®, every operator and vehicle/piece of equipment must be verified by the use of any supported medium for the site. The MegaTrak® "combo" box supports proximity cards, smart-chip keys, credit cards, MTi-Buttons and more. This capability allows the use of a single medium or any combination of mediums on the same MCU.  The fuel tank capacity and fuel type of each vehicle and/or piece of equipment is entered into the MT Pro Software before fueling begins. When drivers fuel at the pump, the system records the site, tank, pump, hose, fuel type, time, date, the odometer reading or hours, the driver, cost per gallon, liter, etc., and the total cost per gallon/liter.  Once the fueling transaction is completed, the data is automatically recorded and saved. Should the need arise, the MCU is designed in flash memory and can store 32,000 plus transactions. It can also reboot itself without losing a transaction in the event of a surge or power failure.  MegaTrak® makes possible 24/7 unmanned fueling. A fleet manager may set up the database to limit certain vehicles to certain sites, times of day, number of gallons, or even the number of times a certain vehicle can fuel in a week. The parameters fleet managers set can be as loose or tight as desired and changed when needed.

Fuel Accounting

The MegaTrak® Fleet Management and Accounting System is a computerized accounting and security package that allows automated monitoring and controlling of fleet and fueling activity. The system consists of the MegaTrak® hardware and software using any combination of mediums, or keypad to track fueling operations.  MegaTrak® uses a Micro Control Unit (MCU), which easily retrofits to each fuel dispenser by direct mount, or is placed on a pedestal nearby to monitor each hose. Each MCU allows direct and immediate operation of individual product hoses. Each driver or operator interfaces with the MCU by using any chosen medium to automatically identify the vehicle, department, number of gallons/liters, odometer reading, etc., without the necessity of constant communication to a main computer. With Host/Remote Modem/LAN communication, the MCU can automatically update key information. Host Site database information such as department number, fuel type, time of operation and odometer level checking, automatically reprograms onto the key during the fueling process. This major, cost-effective feature is called Remote Key Programming.  The Host Site Controller automatically collects all fuel island transactions; controls fuel island activity, programs keys and generates reports. The Host holds and processes all department, vehicle and operator records. The Host is responsible for final transaction processing and uses an attached printer for producing various fuels, performance, accounting and billing reports. In case of communication failure between an MCU and a Site Controller, the fuel system operator can instantly program a 16K microchip key as a "transfer key". The transfer key is an "electronic clip board" which can automatically download transactions stored in the MCU. The fuel system operator carries the transfer key back to the Host, inserts it into the key drive and the software automatically downloads the fueling transactions into the system. The transfer key can also be used to download transactions at any online MCU. This patented transfer key capability is an excellent emergency fallback feature, and an alternate low cost data transfer method available only from MegaTrak®.
