About Company

At Reno Drain Oil Service (Commonly referred to as RDO) we are committed to a better environment for our community. RDO has been serving the Northern Nevada and Northern California communities for the past 30 years. In that time RDO has established itself as a leader in the environmental field, consistently introducing new environmental services.  In today’s business environment, it is imperative that managers protect themselves and their companies from current and future liability. Environmental laws and regulations are not static, they change with each passing year. It is critical to ensure that all waste byproducts are managed properly. The associated liability for waste generators is long term. The concept is termed, “Cradle-to-Grave,” and the implication is that the original generator of waste is ultimately responsible for any mismanagement.  By reclaiming marketable materials from your waste, we’re helping your environment in two ways. We minimize the cost of handling your waste and help to keep you in compliance. It’s an approach that’s based in our philosophy of waste reduction first, recycling or reuse second, treatment third, and disposal last. You’re assured of full regulatory compliance throughout the process and your liability is minimized, because we recycle all waste and remove the liability of the waste to the customer.

Mission Statement:

We are committed to providing safe, quality, cost-effective solutions to our customers’ environmental needs in a manner responsible to our customers, our employees and our community. We are committed to doing the project right the first time and maintaining customer retention through performance satisfaction. Our customers are our greatest source of referrals through word of mouth for a job well done.

What are our core values

  • RDO will provide our customers with the highest-quality services and products to always meet their changing needs.
  • RDO and each of our employees will fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and we will maintain the highest ethical business standards.
  • RDO will provide our employees with the training, tools and resources needed to serve our customers and a safe, healthy and quality work environment.
  • RDO will be an involved and supportive corporate citizen, seeking to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve.

Our Facility:

The RDO recycling facility, located approximately 5 miles East of Sparks, Nevada, is the largest facility of its kind in Nevada in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. RDO personnel are highly trained and reduce associated liability by treating and recycling your waste byproducts in accordance with the current and changing regulatory environment.

USED OIL FUEL “On-Spec”

Used Oil Fuel Sales & Service  RDO operates a state of the art used oil processing facility that produces a high quality fuel for many commercial and industrial applications. This fuel is most commonly utilized in industrial boilers and burners and provides a cost effective alternative to higher priced diesel fuel and natural gas. The on-specification used oil fuel exceeds EPA specifications as outlined in 40 CFR part 279 and the required laboratory analysis is provided with each load.  This used oil fuel is filtered to 513 microns (30 mesh) or finer and is available either directly from the RDO plant or can be delivered to the customer’s site by truck or by rail. Pricing and availability information on this high quality and low cost fuel, along with reference letters from current customers are available upon request.

Oil Filter Recycling

Today more than ever it is important for business to responsibly manage used oil and used oil filters in an environmentally friendly manner. That is why RDO is offering its customers a service to recycle used oil filters in a way consistent with environmental regulations which will limit the associated liability that is inherent in self-disposal of used oil filters in landfills.  In today’s business environment, it is imperative that managers protect themselves and their companies from current and future liability. Environmental laws and regulations change with each passing year. It is critical to ensure that all used oil filters are managed properly. The liability for waste generators is long-term. The concept is termed, “Cradle-to-Grave” and the implication is that the original generator of waste is ultimately responsible for any mismanagement.
