Back in 1935, S&D Oil Company was founded by Richard Dean and Charles Sawyer. They were quite a team and ran a great business, becoming known in the area as the place for to go for great customer service and quality products.  S&D Petroleum in the Olden Days Over the years we have added delivery trucks, staff, and expanded our products and services. We added propane to our fuel offerings and greatly expanded our delivery area. We also converted our offices into a small convenience store and gas station to the main office in Cincinnatus known as the S&D Mini-Mart.  We are proud to be big enough to offer 24/7 emergency delivery service, but small enough to be responsive and personal to each customer.  The current president of S&D Petroleum is Clyde Treacy.  Clyde is determined to live up to the high standards of customer service and strong safety record for which S&D is known.  A lot has changed since the early days S&D. We have grown from a handful of customers to over 1400. We now offer price protection programs, budget plans, automatic delivery, and online services. As we continue to grow and adapt to a changing world, we will never forget our roots and will always strive to provide superior service to all our customers.  S & D Petroleum makes its slogan come alive when it says "We make warm friends." • Oil heat is the number one choice for home heat in our region. It is safe, efficient, and with todays technology burns cleaner than ever.
• Kerosene is derived from crude oil, and is slightly more refined than home heating oil, making it the choice for outdoor liquid fuel storage tanks because it will not gel.
• Propane gas is an efficient and clean burning fuel. Propane can fuel your cook stove, hot water, dryer, and home. It can also power indoor gas fireplaces, generators, pool heaters, and it has commercial, agricultural and construction uses as well.
• Ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) is fuel with substantially lowered sulfur contents than "regular" diesel fuel. As of 2006, almost all of the petroleum-based diesel fuel available in Europe and North America is of a ULSD type. We welcome agricultural and commercial accounts.
