About Company

In 1982, Brent Seeser graduated from the University of Iowa with a teaching degree. Wavering on the idea of teaching, he approached his dad about other business opportunities.  Jack Seeser was a well-seasoned entrepreneur who had been involved in many successful business ventures.  He told Brent, “There are many opportunities out there, but you must be willing to put in the hours to fulfill the needs and expectations of the customers.” He also said, “You must treat the customer fairly and sell your product at a reasonable rate.”  Jack was in the fertilizer business, and when a local propane company expanded their business into the fertilizer business, Jack decided he might as well be in the propane business too. That’s where Brent’s venture began. Eastern Iowa Propane set their first propane storage tank in September 1983. Jack managed the propane business until March 2006, after losing a courageous 4 year battle with cancer.

Refined Fuels

We provide reliable on-site fuel delivery to Residential, Agricultural, and Commercial customers throughout Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

Commercial Propane

Propane has become a leader in the industrial market because it offers many advantages over other fuels. Some of its uses include supplying temporary fuel at construction sites, powering forklifts, generators, and other equipment, as well as heating commercial facilities.Eastern Iowa Propane also offers a cylinder exchange service for both forklift and gas grill tanks. Our delivery driver will set you up on a route according to your usage and customer demand. A cylinder cage will also be provided upon request.

Residential Propane

Propane has many different residential uses. Common uses include home & garage heating, water heating, clothes drying, powering ranges & ovens, fireplaces, and generators.  Propane is a non-toxic, non-poisonous low carbon fuel that will not contaminate the earth. Therefore, you can feel safe using it throughout your home.  Additionally, propane appliances are extremely energy efficient, saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars per year.  We offer Automatic Fill Routes to keep your tank from running out during the heating season. Our driver will stop at least once per month from November 1 through April 15, and once again in August with a summer fill.  New customers are required to complete a credit application and undergo a tank safety inspection before service can begin. This is not only an insurance regulation, but also for your safety. See our Services & Programs and Policies & Procedures for more information.

Agricultural Propane

BlendedLine  Farms throughout America use propane because it is a reliable & efficient energy source that won’t degrade over time. It doesn’t contaminate soil or water like other fuels can and provides farmers with portable power when and where they need it.
