Petersen Oil Company is a family owned distributor of fuel, propane, and lubricant products serving Commercial, Agricultural, Industrial, and Residential customers. Beginning in 1947 we have built a reputation as one of Michigans most trusted and innovative distributors. Our fleet of local delivery trucks provide delivery capacity of up to 4000 gallons through much of Central and Western Michigan. Our transport fleet offers service throughout all of lower Michigan with delivery capacity up to 13400 gallons.  In addition to our core products of refined fuels, lubricants, and propane we provide fleet fueling solutions through the nationwide Pacific Pride fueling network, Natural Gas service as a partner with My Choice Energy, Diesel Exhaust Fluid, Propane Vehicle conversions, Forklift Cylinder filling and exchange, tank and dispensing equipment for fuels and propane, and renewable ethanol and biodesel fuels.

Our History

Petersen Oil & Propane began in 1947 when Stan Petersen began working for Standard Oil Company as a commissioned fuel delivery agent. Stan purchased the Greenville territory from Standard Oil in the 1970s and began his own distributorship continuing to supply Standard Oil fuels and lubes.  In 1976 the business was sold to his Son Tom and Son in Law Kevand. during the 1980s the business grew through acquisitions of neighboring distributors and the building of several gas station/convenience stores. In 1990 the company added Propane service and became Petersen Oil & Propane.  Presently the company is owned and operated by Stans grandson Mike Petersen. Most of the stations built and acquired through the years were sold in 2003 and the company now focuses on the fuel and propane delivery and procurement business.

Greenville Location

Our Greenville location is located at 6360 Greenville Rd in Greenville, MI. We operate a small convenience store and gas station, Pacific Pride commercial fuel site, accounting and customer service offices, and distribution for propane and bulk fuels from this site.  The retail gas station is open from 6am - 10pm M-F and 7am-10pm weekends. Our gas station also offers propane cylinder and motorhome filling during daylight hours 7 days a week. The station carries Gasoline and diesel fuel, kerosene, off road diesel, and ethanol blended gasoline of E20, E30, E40, E85.and Rec gas. Our convenience store carries a full line of snacks along with beer & wine.  The customer service office is open weekdays from 7am - 5:30pm for payments, fuel orders, new account setup, and any other customer needs. Packaged oil and equipment purchased can also be made from our customer service office.

Fleet Fueling

Petersen Oil & Propane offers fleet fueling solutions through the Pacific Pride Commercial Fueling Network. As a partner in the nationwide network we can remain your local partner while providing national fuel availability. Our local fueling sites offer convenient 24/7 fueling through our unattended cardlock equipment, assuring a quick, efficient and secure fuel purchase option while eliminating the risk of onsite fuel storage. Partnering with Petersen Oil & Propane for your fleet fueling needs will provide you with all the benefits of a large national fleet card but the convenience of a local customer service office for card replacement, billing, and pricing.

Gas & Diesel

Petersen Oil & Propane offers gasoline and diesel delivery for Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural uses. With Capacity to handle local deliveries from 100 gallons to 4000 gallons, or statewide transport truck deliveries up to 13400 gallons Petersen Oil & Propane can accomdate virtually any fuel need. We understand fuel is a necessity to your business which is why we are available 7 days a week to keep your operation running smoothly. In addition to fuel delivery we carry a full line of fuel tanks and dispensing equipment to assist you in the setup of a new fuel storage system or maintaining your existing layout.

Lubricants

Petersen Oil & Propane offers lubricant delivery services of bulk and packaged products for Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural uses. We carry a full line of prepackaged FS lubricants as well as bulk hydraulic and motor oils for delivery to your on site tank. Petersen Oil & Propane can service your lubricant needs of just a few gallons up to deliveries of 6000 gallons from our bulk delivery truck.

Natural Gas

As energy distribution progresses Petersen Oil & Propane believes that in order to remain a leader in the energy business we needed to add natural gas to our product selection. Through deregulation in the natural gas business and Michigans choice program we were able to partner with My Choice Energy to offer gas supply to commercial and residential customers statewide. Our choice program allows customers to obtain a fixed rate for natural gas delivery, offering peace of mind and protection against fluctuating energy prices that are a major portion of any budget.
