When you think of American ingenuity, hard work, and resilience, there are thousands of family success stories in our American history. As you narrow it down to the families that have maintained that story for almost a hundred years across many different industries, the list becomes shorter and shorter. As our world changes, those stories become fewer and fewer, so were proud to share the Chabott Family story that continues today.  In 1890 when Elie Chabott decided to open a grocery store and sell groceries out of his horse drawn carriage, who would have realized his hard work and ambition would continue in his familys name for over 126 years. From filling families necessities of food, to realizing the need and opportunity to keep people warm with coal, the Chabott family worked its first 20 years before being introduced to heating oil.  In 1948 Elie Chabott, Jr. saw the opportunity to provide warmth and comfort to families and homes with heating oil. As technology changed and heating oil became an alternative to coal, Elie Chabott, Jr. was not going to be left behind. What could he do? He bought a truck, found a dealer, and reinvent the family name yet again!  After almost 70 years that ingenuity and hard work still lives on in Tom and Ted Chabott with some of their same customers still intact that their family has serviced since 1948.  Today Tom and Ted have maintained the business by focusing on customer relations, hard work and being honest and fair. Chabott Coal and Oil no longer sells groceries, but they do sell hard work and reliability.

Chabott Oil Companys parntership with Ciardelli Fuel Company creates a propane delivery and oil delivery area that spans 58 towns in southern New Hampshire. Both companies are third generation family owned home heating fuel providers. Collectively these two companies have provided over a century of customer service and satisfaction.
