Toce Energy, L.L.C. is a private oil and gas exploration company incorporated in Louisiana. Its beginnings reach back to Paul M. Toce, Sr., who started his career as a geologist with Shell Oil in 1954. After leaving Shell Oil, he worked with two independent oil companies before he began drilling and operating wells as Paul M. Toce in 1962.  Mr. Victor Toce, his son, worked as a geologist for Tenneco Oil Company in its Gulf of Mexico Exploration and Production departments from 1980 to 1988. With Chevrons acquisition of Tenneco, Victor formed Toce Energy, L.L.C.
