Ultra Petroleum’s primary asset is the robust, long life, tight-gas sand resource play in the Green River Basin of Wyoming.
Pinedale and Jonah Fields in southwest Wyoming’s Green River Basin are two of the largest natural gas fields in the United States. Ultra is in the development stage of this world-class legacy asset. The company also has an oil development underway in Three Rivers Field in the Uinta Basin of northeast Utah. Like Pinedale and Jonah, Three Rivers is also a tight-sand play that fits well with Ultra’s strategic core competencies. Maintaining natural gas optionality, Ultra has a premier quality position in the heart of the Marcellus Shale play in Pennsylvania’s Appalachian Basin.
We are dedicated to maintaining the highest degree of corporate responsibility by encouraging all of our people to limit environmental impact, maintain safe operations, and conduct their daily business with the highest of ethical standards.
