Infinity Fuel Cell and Hydrogen, IncKennedy Business Park 431A, Hayden Station Road, Windsor, Connecticut, United States
Since Nov, 2016
Since our founding in 2002, Infinity has focused over 200 years of military and space fuel cell experience designing the next generation of air-independent fuel cells and regenerative fuel cells. With the support of a NASA Phase III SBIR, we have achieved key breakthroughs in fuel cell design that have significantly reduced the complexity and parasitic losses associated with a fuel cell balance of plant.
Our patented all-bonded cell structures are extremely robust and capable of operating at high reactant pressures, allowing unparalleled operational flexibility for the most demanding missions.
Business
Infinity’s team has the experience and systems in place to manage complex Government contracts.
Infinity has consistently received “exceptional” ratings in the government Contractor Performance Assessment Reports System (CPARS).
R&D 100 Award Winner
Infinity’s Advanced Passive Water Removal (APWR) fuel cell, developed for NASA under a SBIR Phase III program, was recognized for innovation in 2011 as a R&D 100 Award winner.
The design passively removes water without traditional gas recirculation and complicated centrifugal separators required to manage entrained water in spacecraft. The clear benefit is a smaller, far more compact package that eliminates much of the parasitic balance of plant hardware and rotating parts that are prone to failure.
This R&D 100 award-winning design also has benefits for air-independent applications with gravity, such as powering the next generation of long duration unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV). Low power operation is virtually silent and the compact design packs a big power punch in small package leaving system designers the maximum space for payloads, instrumentation and reactants.
