Apollo is a company with 60-years of experience in development of Batteries, Fuel Cells and Systems which incorporate those products. Our roots go back to 1953 when we built our first battery plant in Puerto Rico.
The combination of our ‘Apollo Lead Cobalt Battery’ and ‘Apollo Alkaline Fuel Cell’ will provide a Propulsion System for an electric vehicle which will enable that car to drive continuously, like a gasoline powered car, without external recharging (not necessary to “plug-in” to an outside receptacle); and will provide a Power Plant System to give electricity to a home, farm, hotel, cell towers or commercial establishment without use of the outside grid supplied by electric utility companies.
Apollo Energy's management team welcomes you to explore the opportunity of sharing our dream of a world free of air pollution and global warming, free of dependence on fossil fuels for energy. The new world will operate on a new kind of energy – energy from new types of batteries, fuel cells and other energy devices developed in our laboratories and protected by patents.
Take a few minutes to become acquainted with the Company, its products and history. Our story covers many areas of our background, technical reports, patents, etc. to give you a more comprehensive idea of who we are, where we have been the what we plan to offer to millions of people throughout the world.
POWER SYSTEMS
An Apollo ™ Power Sytem operates as a Parallel System in a house, farm or commercial establishment with the Lead Cobalt Battery supplying power directly to the DC to AC Inverter 24-hours a day and the Apollo ™ Fuel Cell charging the battery. The battery can supply excess power to the grid during peak hours at the command of the electric utility company which controls this function.
A Photovoltaic Cell operates in daylight hours and supplies power to a Battery Conditioner or an Electrolysis Unit for generating hydrogen. This is an optional device which may be used to enhance the system operation.
The Apollo ™ Fuel Cell charges the battery at various rates of charge throughout the day and night, but may be shut down part of the day and all night. It can also supply power to the grid during peak hours, by-passing the battery.
A Silver Volt Electric car containing an Electric Propulsion System [EP System] could supply power to a house or to the grid during peak hours by plugging into a special receptacle. The Apollo ™ Power System can be utilized in an infinite number of ways, depending on its size.
