Property History
The earliest record of exploration on the Jersey-Emerald property was back in 1895. Since then the mine has produced both tungsten and lead-zinc, including the Canadian government’s commission of tungsten to serve the war effort in WWII. The mine is the second-largest historic lead-zinc mine in British Columbia and the second-largest historic tungsten mine in North America. The Jersey-Emerald has been inactive since 1973.
JERSEY - EMERALD PROPERTY
The Property is located in southeastern British Columbia, 10km southeast of the community of Salmo. Margaux has surface and mineral rights in place to over 30,000 acres with all mineral claims in good standing until December 2021.
The Property has a significant resource for lead-zinc and for tungsten, and is prospective for additional deposits such as molybdenum, gold, bismuth and silver.
