About Company

Plasma Power, LLC is focused on producing renewable power in an efficient “Earth Friendly” way. Efficiency in this case is defined as:

producing the maximum amount of power per unit of feedstock
producing a minimum amount of emissions per unit of power... a carbon neutral facility is our goal
producing no chars or ash in the production process
delivering facilities that require a minimum of real estate
delivering facilities that require a minimum amount of capital investment
delivering facilities that require a minimum amount of maintenance to operate on a 24/7 schedule

All of the above delivered by one company may seem too good to be true. It sounds even better when it is revealed that almost any fuel, feedstock, or combination of fuels may be used. Intrigued? Read on to learn about our patent pending process and designs.

Our company is fully committed to offering the solutions needed to help our customers meet their renewable energy needs. Our sustainable approach allows us to work towards achieving a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone.

Our array of products and services:

Plasma Power has an extensive high energy thermal plasma development laboratory. We offer limited contract testing when the goals of the test mesh with current company plasma programs and promote future strategic alliances.
Plasma Power has developed a number of patent pending products and processes in the area of plasma gasification and high temperature heat transfer. These OEM products are integrated into high value, clean and efficient renewable energy facilities for our customers.
Plasma Power and its staff have extensive facility design and operational experience. The company and its staff have worked with most of the major EPC and AE firms in the USA and abroad to successfully build and construct state of the art plants around the globe.
Plasma Power will own and / or operate renewable energy facilities if the contract requires this level of service. At the other extreme of service the company will license its patent pending thermal plasma technology to other qualified groups.

Plasma Power has taken a different approach to service the renewable energy market. Unlike many others, we have a thermal plasma lab and test what we offer for sale. From this investment we have developed patent pending products and processes. These innovations afford high levels of renewable energy production at very low emissions from virtually any feedstock, at a capital cost that is significantly less than current conventional design.

Our technology has been optimized for 24/7 operation with design goals of greater than 94% availability and better than 96% reliability.

Our staff has:

been involved in the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of many complex plants with demanding requirements, ensuring production robustness

lived through all aspects of production facility development and launch

includes scientists that have hundreds of patent claims to their credit, including in the key areas such as emissions and plasma process

been involved in the high energy thermal plasma field for decades, since its inception

This combination of theoretical and real world capability uniquely positions Plasma Power in the area of renewable energy.

plasma primer

The Web is full of sites that describe thermal plasma. Often it is referred to as the fourth state of matter and considered to be the most abundant form of matter in the universe. The most commonly known example of plasma is lightning, or in a manmade environment, the spark that jumps across a spark plug. The operating temperature of plasma is hotter than the surface of the sun. This level of heat energy is a powerful tool to use in gasification, or more accurately in this case, disassociation.

Plasma has been documented by many independent sources to be one of the most efficient gasification tools known to man. When this tool is used to process an organic renewable feedstock such as Municipal Solid Waste, algae, or biomass, a low BTU fuel can be produced. If the process is operated in an oxygen starved environment the result is the production of a low emissions fuel product commonly known as syngas.

Many companies have struggled turning syngas into usable products such as electricity, plastics, or liquid fuels. The technology exists, but the economics typically are prohibitive. Plasma Power has innovated patent pending technology which helps to overcome this economic hurdle. This technology also allows the operating conditions of the process to use industry standard products that have extensive field proven service with documented reliability and availability data.
