Downtime and maintenance due to system failures are costly.  Orbital Systems set out to develop ground station products that have excellent Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and low Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).  They are designed to need very little preventative maintenance over the course of their lifecycle. The key distinction of all Orbital products is that they are engineered and built to the highest level of performance in their class while being very reliable.

Ground Station Products
Engineered to Be Intrinsically Reliable and Low-Maintenance

Orbital Systems’ ground station components are designed and engineered to work together to provide highly reliable, safe and accurate performance over a long lifecycle.

System Components

Orbital Systems’ product focus is on antenna positioners and complete antenna systems that are 5.0 meters and smaller.  We have products for applications such as Earth Observation Satellites (EOS), satellite ground control Telemetry, Tracking and Control equipment (TT&C), advanced 3D weather radar scanning, UAV/RPV tracking, and Search and Rescue (SARSAT) MEO/LEO tracking.  All of our products are designed and built to deliver dependable performance over a long lifecycle in harsh environments.

As a specialized technology company, Orbital designs and builds most of the structural components and all machined parts used in our antenna positioners in our own manufacturing facility.  This vertical integration allows us to ensure precise fit and quality construction while minimizing manufacturing costs – translating into unrivaled price/performance value for our customers.

Our systems are designed for fast and easy installation. However, should maintenance be required, most system components can be replaced without major disassembly, or the need for highly trained labor.  All antenna positioners are supplied with a comprehensive toolkit and documentation to permit full service at any location.

Installation Services

Installation service is typically provided by Orbital Systems’ Certified Resellers, or Systems Integrators and is available for all positioners.  Purchasers of a system bundle bought directly from Orbital Systems are packaged with installation labor.  All methods of installation include some hardware training at installation.  For the most comprehensive training, especially for the operation of high level software processing and interpretation, is best done by purchasing your system through one of our Systems Integrators who bundle Orbital hardware with additional Systems Integrator supplied hardware  and sophisticated software packages that can require extensive user training.

Integration Services

If you have purchased an EOS-FES from us as part of a package, we provide remote integration services to assist with automatic transmission of Level 0 data from our EOS-FES Server to your application-specific high level processing and analytical systems. We also provide master schedule and auto scheduler system integration and integrate your antenna and demodulators.

To provide remote support services for a customer account, the customer IT network configuration must allow data access for the Orbital Systems remote support tool.
