About Company

When Air-Clear, LLC was founded our goal was to offer our customers the best solutions possible for their air quality needs, and over the years, this goal has served us well. We pride ourselves in building the highest quality, cost-effective and reliable systems, each designed to meet each of our customer’s specific project objectives.

Our approach is to learn as much as possible about your process and air quality requirements, and to use the information to engineer for you the equipment that maximizes your investment. We understand the role that air quality equipment has in your operation, which is why reliability is of utmost importance to our engineers. Air Clear’s integrated design, sales, engineering and manufacturing teams allow us to analyze customers’ applications and develop innovative solutions using sustainable technology in our air pollution control equipment designs.

The Air Clear Advantage

Customer Support

Air Clear offers total system support, from user friendly operating and maintenance manuals to online monitoring providing virtually effortless system operation.

Technical support after the sale and more importantly, after the warranty period, is critical. So along with building and testing the highest quality equipment possible, Air Clear offers you the support you need to minimize downtime.

Air Clear is continuously finding new and more effective ways to integrate modems into our customers’ control systems, so that our engineers can diagnose and adjust the operating status of your system whether it is in Bangkok or Baltimore.

Where Staff is limited, Air Clear offers optional maintenance contracts. These flexible agreements can include remote monitoring, service and maintenance, spare part inventory and training of local contractors as needed.

Services

Engineering Services

  • Evaluation of existing APC (air pollution control) equipment for the purpose of:
    • Improving energy efficiency and or providing secondary heat recovery
    • Improved capacity through put
    • Improving performance of an existing system
    • Secondary Heat Recovery (SHR)
  • On line monitoring of APC systems for maintenance assistance
  • Controls upgrade for your existing APC system

Field Services

Installation of APC equipment from the mechanical assembly to the complete installation from foundation to commissioning – ‘turnkey installation’

  • Maintenance of existing APC equipment
    • Service contracts for routine PM inspections
    • On call response for service on most Oxidizers
  • RTO heat recovery upgrade to lower energy use and or increase capacity
  • Catalyst replacement and upgrade to increase VOC reduction
  • Replacement of any coalescing fiber bed filters

Equipment Installation

Installation of Air Pollution Control Equipment is a critical component of a successful project. To insure that the equipment is installed properly as well as in the most cost effective manner, some companies elect to package the equipment purchase with the installation and startup in what is referred to as a “Turnkey” System.

Air Clear has extensive experience in controlling the emissions from Saturators; Coaters; Tank Vents; Loading Stations. We have Air Pollution Control Systems in operation on many of the major Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers production lines..
Asphalt process exhaust contains a variety of particle sizes ranging from submicron and larger, and the objective is to control the opacity and associated odor resulting from the particulate emissions.
In cases where VOC control is not required, Air Clear recommends the use of an Air Clear Coalescing Fiberbed Filter Mist Collector System to control opacity. Air Clear systems use fiberbed diffusion filters to collect the submicron particulate that is the cause of opacity. Fiberbed filters are designed to collect both solid and liquid particulate, and have been used successfully for many years to control asphalt manufacturing emissions effectively and economically.
Air Clear Pocket Prefilters. These Prefilters are used to collect tars and solid particulate prior to entering the main coalescing fiberbed filter system

In some cases an Indexing Pre-Filter using a durable poly pre-filter material is offered to remove stone dust particulate from the exhaust to protect the main filters and extend their life. As the filter media gets dirty, the pressure drop increases. At a fixed point the drive motor indexes pulling off the dirty media and replacing it with clean media.
In cases where a pre-filter is needed but space and/or small volumes are present, Pocket Filters can be utilized in lieu of an Indexing Drum Pre-filter.
In cases where VOC control is required, Air Clear recommends the use of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) utilizing a variety of “Pre-Filtering” Technologies to remove contaminants up steam of the RTO. The plugging problem is exasperated due to the numerous types of contaminants plugging the RTO. The right pre-filter has resulted in the adaptation of several filtration technologies which have been a part of Air Clear’s product line for years.
